Ahmed Mekky
oUR Group Chairman & CEO

Ahmed Mekky is a prominent figure of the ICT industry, enjoying more than 20 years of collective experience in the telecommunications and technology fields. His cognitive vision for the future and his relentless contributions to the industry positioned him as a central figure within this sector.

Building on his successful career and diversified experience, in 2008, Mekky co-founded GBI, the region’s first-ever privately owned telecommunications service provider that operates its own neutral submarine cable connecting the MENA region to Europe, Africa and Asia.

Mekky continued his tireless pursuit of advancements within the industry, shifting his focus in 2016 to his next mega-venture, Benya, with the vision of building the most successful and reliable ICT infrastructure provider adopting state-of-the-art technology solutions in the Middle East and Africa.

Mekky was named in the Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Power 100 list and awarded Industry CEO of the Year’ at the Telecom Review Summit 2019.

Sherif Nabih
oUR Group Deputy CEO & CFO

Sherif Nabih is an accomplished entrepreneur and veteran banker with over 36 years of practical experience and specialized in turn around, restructuring, management consulting, investment banking, private banking, corporate, retail, asset management and brokerage.

Having graduated from Ain Shams University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1984, Nabih developed an iconic career trajectory in the private and public banking sectors on local, regional, and global levels. After obtaining his master’s degree in international finance from Webster University in London, Nabih acquired leading positions in a myriad of formidable financial firms and banking groups. in 1998, he was accredited as a financial consultant (FC) Series “7”

In the early stages of his career, Nabih worked as an area private banking manager at Arab Bank in London and a liability management team leader at Mashreq Bank in Dubai. Between 1998 and 2008, he held many positions including the vice president of Merrill Lynch International Bank in London and Bahrain, the deputy general manager and head of Private Banking at Commercial International Bank (CIB), the senior vice president heading retail, private banking and capital market groups at Union National Bank, the country head for GAMPB (Global Asset Management and Private Banking) at Arab Bank, and the CEO and managing director of the investment bank Prime Securities.

Nabih also acquired a prominent governmental role from 2015:2019 when he was named the Chairman of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport Investments and Projects (MOT) where he spearheaded all state-led investment projects.
